Q: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DRINK MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN®?
A: Muscle Milk Protein should be consumed as directed on the label. Muscle Milk Protein can be consumed before workouts, after workouts, first thing in the morning or prior to bedtime. Keep in mind that individual nutritional requirements vary depending on gender, body weight, level of activity and exercise/training intensity and duration. So, it is best to use Muscle Milk Protein as part of a well-balanced diet that includes whole foods and other protein sources. We do not recommend Muscle Milk Protein be used as your sole source of nutrition.

 

Q: WHO CAN DRINK MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN?
A: The short answer is Muscle Milk Protein can be used by almost anyone that is not allergic to dairy proteins. Plenty of athletes drink Muscle Milk Protein because they may have increased protein requirements, but it is fine for anyone that wants to supplement their protein intake. The proteins in Muscle Milk Protein may be especially helpful when you are:
• starting a new exercise program 
• increasing the intensity of your workouts
• a vegetarian (that consumes dairy) and does not get enough protein from dietary sources

 

Q: IS MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN CERTIFIED KOSHER?
A: All flavors of Muscle Milk Protein ready-to-drink products are certified Kosher (Dairy) by the Orthodox Union and this is indicated by the symbol on all labels. Muscle Milk Protein powder is not currently Kosher certified.

 

Q: WHY DO YOU USE ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS IN MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN?
A: We use artificial sweeteners because, when used at very low amounts, they provide a similar level of sweetness as natural sugars but without added calories or carbohydrates. 

 

Q: IS IT OKAY TO DRINK THE PRODUCT IF IT IS PAST THE BEST BY DATE?
A: The best by date specifies the period of time which a product can be stored under specific conditions and remain optimal for consumption. This date corresponds to the physical attributes of the product. Many manufacturers use best by dating to inform the consumer of optimal shelf life on specific products stored under appropriate storage conditions.

 

Q: DOES MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN CONTAIN ANY ALLERGENS?
A: Muscle Milk Protein follows the allergen labeling requirements set forth by the European Commission. Muscle Milk Protein contains both milk-based ingredients and trace amounts of soy. Please refer to the product label for complete information.

 

Q: CAN I USE MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN TO GAIN WEIGHT?
A: Strategies to gain weight should focus on eating more calories (from a balanced diet that can include Muscle Milk Protein used as directed) than you expend and exercising to build muscle mass. Consuming Muscle Milk Protein contributes to growth and maintenance of muscle mass.

 

Q: CAN I USE MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN TO HELP LOSE WEIGHT?
A: The smartest way to lose weight is to combine regular exercise with a reduction in calorie intake. Muscle Milk Protein can be part of a calorie-reduced, balanced diet (which should also include whole foods and other protein sources).

 

Q: WHY DOES MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN POWDER TASTE DIFFERENT THAN MUSCLE MILK READY-TO-DRINK?
A: We try our best to get the products to be as close as possible but processing methods for ready-to-drink products are different than those involved in powder production which results in differences in flavor and consistency.

 

Q: WHY DO THE POWDER MIXES NOT ALWAYS LOOK THE SAME?
A: There is some natural variability in protein characteristics, depending on the source of or method by which the proteins are isolated, that may lead to slight differences in appearance.

 

Q: CAN MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN POWDER BE MIXED WITH LIQUIDS OTHER THAN WATER?
A: Our products are designed to be mixed with water but you can mix the powders with other liquids.

 

Q: HOW LONG AFTER MIXING THE POWDER SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE DRINKING MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN?
A: It is best to drink soon after mixing. But, if this is not possible, keep the drink refrigerated and consume as soon as possible. If the product sits in the refrigerator for some time you may want to re-shake the product before drinking. We do not recommend storing refrigerated Muscle Milk Protein for longer than 12 hours.

 

Q: DOES MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN CONTAIN VITAMIN K?
A: Vitamin K is not added to Muscle Milk Protein, however trace amounts of Vitamin K can be found in flavors containing cocoa. 

 

Q: WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE MUSCLE MILK PROTEIN?
A: We recommend storing Muscle Milk Protein RTD at 4°C to 27°C with a relative humidity of 60%. Muscle Milk Protein powder should be kept between 4°C and 32°C. It is best to keep the container tightly closed.

Vanilla Almond Cranberry Bars

Ingredients

- 8 scoops Vanilla Muscle Milk Protein powder (128 g protein)

- 6 oz (170 g) oatmeal

- 4 fl oz (120 ml) milk

- 2.4 oz (70 g) almond pieces (for topping)

- 8 tbsp shredded coconut

- 2 oz (57 g) cranberries

Directions

Add Muscle Milk Protein Powder to a bowl. Combine oatmeal and cranberries. Add milk slowly as you mix by hand. The goal is to end up with a dough like consistency. You may add more powder accordingly. Once everything is mixed, place bars in a pan and cut to desired size. Sprinkle almond pieces and coconut over the top. Let sit in the freezer for 30 minutes.

*Optional coating – Pour 30 g of desired yoghurt over the top before freezing.
